Letter from a non-Jewish spouse (funeral)
Dear Rabbi Novak,
On September 29 you kindly agreed to conduct the memorial ceremony for my husband, even though you never knew him and despite very short notice. My children and I are very grateful for that fact, and for the beutifully simple and respectful way you conducted the gathering. Many attendees came to me at the reception and afterward to tell me how impressed and moved they were by your words. I just wanted to thank you again for your kindness, and tell you how much it meant for us.

Letter from a spouse (unveiling)

Dear Rabbi Mark,
Thank you for the beautiful headstone unveiling you performed this past weekend. It was a moving service on the most perfect of fall days, and it brought an enormous amount of peace to all who were present. I hope our paths cross again.
Thanks again,
Amy
